As the whole country struggles to cope with the earliest and most prolonged snow for decades, local MSP Alison McInnes has paid tribute to the workers who battle to keep things moving.
Commenting Mrs McInnes said:
"Everyone in the North East of Scotland should be indebted to not only the gritter and snow plough drivers who are working around the clock, but also all those who work in the emergency services.
"Ambulance crews, doctors, nurses, fire crews and the police are all putting the public before themselves during this long spell of atrocious weather."
