Commenting ahead of the Scottish Government's statement on higher education funding, Liberal Democrat Education spokesperson Margaret Smith MSP said:

"We're working with other parties, the Government, student representatives and the higher education sector to find a Scottish solution to higher education funding.

"We are looking forward to the publication of the Government's Green Paper tomorrow and expect to publish our own proposals soon."
